In most cases the addition of storm windows is an inexpensive and far more sympathetic alternative to the installation of double glazed units. The addition of storm windows will result in reduced energy consumption and greater comfort. A single glazed window has an approximate R-value of .91. The addition of a wooden storm window will increase the R-value to at least a value of 2.13 and potentially more if the space between the sheets of glass is greater than 1/2". We produce historically correct storm windows like those which have been in use for centuries.

Our skilled crafts people manufacture our storm windows using the finest materiels and joinery to produce a product that will withstand the test of time.Our basic storm sash is manufactured using clear, solid stock fir or cedar that is mortise and tenoned together. Storm windows may be provided with opening arms and hangars which eliminate the need for removal in the warmer weather. We can customize this product for your window configurations and usage.
