Baptist Church: 

Vintage Woodworks had been commissioned to manufacture select new windows, new courtyard doors and transoms, new mouldings and over 168 new storm windows for First Baptist Church at the corner of Nelson and Burrard. 

The project began in February 2021 and has now completed this September 2024. 

 

The project included the manufacture of various new windows and sash where rot was found, the restoration of the lead/stain glass units, the restoration of the existing jambs, and the manufacture and installation of laminate glass storm windows .  The storm windows were chosen for this project for the multiple benefits they provide.  Not only do these storms offer protection of the historic lead/stain glass windows but they reduce sound transference, increase thermal efficiency, provide seismic protection, and they reduce drafts significantly.  The photos shown below a fraction of the incredible project that has now completed at First Baptist Church.
